Orthodontics is one of the best professions in the world. It was an easy choice for me to move into the dental field, and I have loved every day since becoming a specialist in orthodontics in 2002. I believe that my work can make patients feel better about themselves. It can influence good facial development for my younger patients and improve smile aesthetics and oral health for all patients.

As a pediatric dentist Dr. Michael Quigley has a unique opportunity to impact the lives of children. Dental phobias typically manifest early in life and are usually the result of a difficult/traumatic experience in the dental chair. The work done by Dr. Quigley influences the child’s perception of the dentist for years to come and can be a huge determining factor in whether that person will seek dental care as an adult.

As a pediatric dentist it is always a great feeling to be able to care for a young apprehensive patient and make the experience fun and exciting to help build self-esteem and alleviate fears. It’s a privilege to be able to work with children every day and see the world through their eyes. They help to keep me humble and young at heart!

To say that pediatric dentistry is my dream job would be an understatement. While it has its ups and downs like any other career, the best way to describe my job is like a tightrope walker trying to stay balanced on a wire hundreds of feet in the sky. The tightrope walker’s primary job is to move forward without falling off left or right. Similarly, my job is to manage a child’s behavior while using specialized dental instruments and to do so effectively, quickly, and most importantly, safely.

As our Office Manager and Personnel Coordinator, my duties extend all around the office, from day to day practice operations to making sure the office is neat and tidy. My goal is to meet the needs of our patients, parents, doctors, and employees in a timely, effective, and compassionate manner. I am married with three children and a house full of pets. I am obsessed with gardening and am an active member of my church, as well as a frequent volunteer at the local chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
