Delta Dental Insurance Patients

Dear valued patients and parents,

We are writing to you today with mixed emotions, as we must share some important news about changes to our relationship with Delta Dental insurance. For the past 15 years, we have been a participating member with Delta Dental, in part because of the requests from many of you. We wanted to accommodate your insurance preferences and make your dental care as accessible as possible.

However, we must be candid about the challenges we have faced during this time. The past few years have brought unforeseen challenges including the impact of the pandemic and the rising cost of overhead. Despite our ongoing efforts to negotiate with Delta Dental, they have not shown a willingness to increase reimbursement rates for the services we provide for more than a decade. This has made it increasingly difficult for us to continue offering the high-quality dental care that you deserve.

Therefore, with a heavy heart but a strong commitment to maintaining the excellence of our dental care, we have made the difficult decision to become an out-of-network provider with Delta Dental. This change will be effective as of October 13, 2023. Surrounding offices have experienced similar struggles with Delta Dental and have all elected to become out-of-network providers.

We want to reassure you that this change does not mean we will no longer accept patients with Delta Dental insurance. On the contrary, we will continue to welcome you into our office with open arms. However, there will be an adjustment in how we handle insurance payments. Moving forward, payments for services will be due at the time of your appointment. At the end of your visit, we will process and submit your claims and you will receive a reimbursement check directly from Delta Dental. The reimbursement amount will be specific to your plan.

Given that our office is one of the few in the region with Board Certified Pediatric Dentists, we recognize the importance of your dental care. In light of this, we want to offer you the option of reaching out to your Delta Dental plan directly or contacting your Human Resources department for guidance and support in exploring alternative options for dental insurance coverage.

We understand that this transition may raise questions, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Our team is available to assist you with any inquiries, help you understand your options, and ensure that your dental care remains as smooth and convenient as possible. Our billing specialists can assist you at 315-637-6961 extension 110 or 146.

Our patients’ health and well-being remain our top priority, and we are dedicated to delivering the best possible care for your loved ones. Thank you for your trust and loyalty, and we look forward to continuing to serve you in the future.

Warmest regards,
Drs. Son, Weinstein, Quigley, & Kang
